Does MakCare have Registered Massage Therapists?

Yes, all massage therapists at MakCare are registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Does MakCare offer direct billing?

 MakCare does not provide direct billing services. After payment, official receipts will be emailed to patients. Patients can then submit the receipt to their insurance provider for reimbursement.

Is HST included in the listed prices?

 No, the listed prices do not include HST. Please note that not all services we provide are taxable. For example, chiropractic treatments are exempt from HST, whereas massage therapy and manual osteopathic treatments are subject to taxation.

Notice for manual osteopathic treatment

Our osteopathic services are provided under The Canadian Alliance of Alternative Medicine (ACMA).

Please be aware that while your insurance policy may indicate coverage for osteopathic services, approval of claims may depend on the insurance provider's recognition of the association that issued the manual osteopath license.

If you are unsure about your coverage, we strongly recommend verifying with your insurance company prior to your appointment.

Add-on Services

Treatments with dry cupping (拔罐), acupuncture (針灸), Fascial Stretch Therapy (筋膜拉伸療法), and hot stones (石療) are provided by registered massage therapist. Receipts will be issued as Massage Therapy Treatment.

*Please note that this type of massage is performed on a mat.  Patients are recommended to be in athletic wear and no massage oil/ lotion will be use during treatment.

Pricing:  HST is not included in the above pricing and subject to change.

Method of Payments: Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard/Amex), Debit, Cash and E-Transfer. A receipt will be issued upon payment. 

Lateness Policy: If patient is late for the appointment, therapist will try to accommodate to offer the full treatment.  However, if that is not possible, full treatment fee will be apply. Thank you for respecting our therapist time.

Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify us 24 hours prior to your appointment or reschedule or 100% of your treatment fee will be apply.  Future appointments cannot be scheduled until your cancellation fee is paid.
